Are the OGX Shampoo's and Conditioner's Actually Any Good?

Since making the decision to grow my hair out after years of having layers, horrendous fringes and back combing so much it looked like a birds nest (I promise it was a very long time ago), I have been endlessly looking for a shampoo and conditioner combo which makes my hair look and feel hydrated and not like a bunch of straw and twigs coming out of my head and believe me, it has been an ongoing issue I've been struggling with.

For the longest time I have been very low maintenance when it comes to my hair, I rarely ever got it cut and never particularly styled it in anyway, just washed it, dried it, and let it do its thing. I recently found myself really starting to hate my hair because I felt it made all of the effort I put into my outfit and makeup seem redundant because my hair didn't reflect the same amount of effort. So, I decided enough was enough and I was going to take better care of my hair, get the dead ends trimmed (there was a lot of them, ya girl wasn't fond of getting a hair cut) and start using more care products to keep it more healthy and protect it against all of the heat styling I've decided I was going to be doing.

I was debating investing in the OGX hair care collection for a long time since seeing a lot of ladies raving about it on Twitter and Insta. But, what really deterred me at first was the price £7 each, for the shampoo and conditioner alone and then extra cash on top of that for the heat products etc made really sceptical of buying because it made me think "do I really want to be spending this much money on hair products". But I had a mini revelation, I thought I only get one head of hair so I'd rather spend a little bit extra to keep it looking and feeling healthy (also it was loan day so y'know I had a little extra cash in my bank plus all of that 10% student discount in Superdrug) so I started out small, the baby steps to me having perfect hair, and just bought the shampoo and conditioner combo in 'Brazilian Macadamia'

I loved it! I loved the way it made my hair feel. After one wash my hair instantly felt softer and more healthy and from then I haven't used any other shampoo and conditioner combo since trying this one, I'm currently using the Tea Tree Mint one and it has to be my fave so far, I've also tried the coconut one as well.

I can safely say that I am extremely happy with how these products are treating my hair and would definitley recommend paying the price to anyone who is as sceptical as I was. I'm really considering investing in some of the heat protection treatments OGX do as well.

  1. Not so sure I'd be best placed to take advantage of their softer feels.
