Pushing Through Those Times Of Un-motivation When You're Just Starting Out

When you're trying to make yourself visible in a world where almost everyone is doing the same thing you are, it can be difficult to keep yourself motivated. It can often feel that the hours of writing, photo taking and editing you're doing is going un-noticed and underappreciated when realistically, that's not the case. It's just there's so many of us all trying to get to the same place.

Netflix Shows I'm Obsessed With

If you're like me, you'll love to spend all your free time thinking about all of the stuff you could (should) be doing but instead, you're sat watching Netflix and scrolling through your Insta feed looking at all of the other, more productive, people you follow.

It's okay, I support that decision. In fact, I support it so much I'm giving another 3 shows to add to your "binge watch" list.

The Ordinary - A Brand Far From That

*CONFESSION TIME* I never ever used to have a skincare routine. I used to be one of these gals who would wipe their makeup off half arsedly with a makeup wipe at the end of the day and maybe occasionally use a chemical riddled face scrub in the shower for a treat lol.

My skin wasn't terrible but it wasn't healthy, it was pretty dry and although I never really got spots, I got really horrendous black head (TMI, I know, sorry!) It just wasn't looking or feeling good. It wasn't really until I got really into makeup and beauty did I start to learn the basics of skin care. Mainly because I was frustrated about my makeup not sitting right on my face.

When skincare started to peak my interest I wanted something that was going to be easy and not too time-consuming (I hated having to faff about before getting into bed, lazy girl life) I tried a lot of products and routines and none of them stuck because I didn't enjoy doing them and to be honest it was pretty expensive!

I stumbled across The Ordinary when I say stumbled I mean everyone was already talking about it and I was very late to the party, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I've been using their products for about a month now and honestly, I'm in love!

-AD- This Month's Jewellery Favourite

*this post is in partnership with Gold Boutique Jewellery* read a full disclaimer here.

Hello! Long time, no write. I know. Uni life well and truly took over and I had little to no time to do anything other than essays and revision *yawn* but it has finally passed and I'm back to having time to spend doing something way more enjoyable and putting a bit more thought into my daily outfits!

No more throwing on something comfy to wear for spending hours in the uni library, I get to dress and feel like an actual human again.

Lunch at Love Lilly - Some Exciting News

It's easy to get in the mindset that no-one really cares about what you have to say when you're a blogger. Especially when you're writing about things thousands of other, more popular bloggers, are writing about the same thing and the difference is they're out there getting sponsors and paid partnerships along the way. Ya know?

Gift Guide - Mother's Day Edition

I'm definitely one of those people who prefer to give gifts than receive them, especially if those gifts are for my family. As Mother's Day is swiftly approaching it can be difficult to know what to get to make your gift perfect, especially if that special lady you're gifting is anything like my mam, deserves an ocean full of diamonds and an all expenses paid trip to New York. But, I have some idea's which might make your shopping struggles a little bit easier, here are my top 3.

I've Set Up A Beauty Bank

Homelessness and poverty is an issue which is often skirted around, especially in the beauty industry. That's why I've decided to set up The Beauty Bank initiative, to help those who really, really need it.

Why I'm Going To Make 2018 A 'Selfish' Year

It's been a long, long, long time since I even thought about writing a post on my blog. Life got in the way and I didn't have the time I needed to dedicate to writing and blogging outside of my journalism degree. In fact, a lot of my hobbies got put on the back burner last year because I had committed my time to other things which I thought would be beneficial but in hindsight, they weren't.
