Lunch at Love Lilly - Some Exciting News

It's easy to get in the mindset that no-one really cares about what you have to say when you're a blogger. Especially when you're writing about things thousands of other, more popular bloggers, are writing about the same thing and the difference is they're out there getting sponsors and paid partnerships along the way. Ya know?

It's disheartening and I started feeling a bit like "what's the point, even after all the work I put in, I'm still getting nowhere." But, I was recently contacted by a local company who are interested in doing some collab work with me, so after months of feeling like I was wasting my time and getting nowhere, this really made me feel like I was doing something productive!

I know blogging isn't just about getting sponsored by brands or making money but being recognized for your work makes you feel proud and that other people enjoy reading your blog as much as you enjoy writing it.

BUT... I met up with Louise, from Goldboutique,  for a chat in the loveliest little local cafe called Love Lilly. The food and cakes were to die for and I deffo think it's a new frequent. I had tomato and basil soup which was so tasty with a latte, followed by the biggest slice of carrot and walnut cake I have ever seen. I was so sad when I couldn't finish it! It also sold some of the nicest candles I've ever smelt!

If you're ever in the Sunderland area, take a trip to Roker beach and give it a try. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Love, Lauren x
